Introduction to Scene Design
Description
A design course taught from the point of view of the scenic aspects of a collaborative project, with a focus on the tools used by the designer to communicate with the entire team of designers, engineers, technical staff and performers. Students will study the vast resources and mediums that are part of the creative process and learn how scenery, lighting, costumes, props, paint, and graphics are integrated into a performance project.For hybrid and online sections, minimum technology requirements are a working camera and microphone. Students are to switch both on at the instructor’s request.
