Description
An introduction to the methods and problems of running a professional entertainment business and managing technical projects. Subjects include contracts, bidding, estimates, procurement, government regulations, wage/time studies, shop layouts, workflow, the assembly and staffing of a show for performance, budgeting, scheduling, problem-solving, special problems (language barriers, conflict resolution, etc.) and political/social issues that affect working relations.For hybrid and online sections, minimum technology requirements are a working camera and microphone. Students are to switch both on at the instructor’s request.
