Advanced Computer Music
Description
This course builds on computer music fundamentals introduced in prerequisite courses. Topics may include, but are not limited to, time- and frequency-domain audio analysis, music information retrieval, advanced audio synthesis techniques, compositional algorithms, and generative music. Students develop their programming ability by implemented projects in a language/environment designed for creating interactive computer music works. For hybrid and online sections, minimum technology requirements are a working camera and microphone. Students are to switch both on at the instructor’s request.
