Description
This course provides students with enhanced knowledge of Computer Aided Drafting. Students will learn advanced techniques that will allow them to become more productive in creating and editing CAD drawings. Through the use of structural drawings (concrete and steel) and civil engineering drawings (site plans, surveys, grading), students will build on their basic knowledge of CAD in preparing construction drawings. Methods and procedures are developed for solving practical drafting problems encountered in construction projects. Students will learn advanced AutoCAD commands and will learn key features of AutoCAD Land and surveys, roadway alignment drawings, and DTM. Improved skills are also developed in the reading and interpretation of typical working drawings from civil engineering and construction projects. Land development concepts and methods will be stressed in this course.
