Course Title

Strategic Planning and Reformation Within the Human Services Organization

Description

"This course focuses on the theoretical and applied dimensions of strategic planning and organizational reformation with reference to policy design and program implementation within public and nonprofit organizations. Strategic planning, policy making, strategic and transformational management, and programs are necessitated by the complexity of population diversity and needs, funding, and program effectiveness, which effect human service organizations. Strategic planning is the interaction, and knowledge management policies, of ""stakeholders"" within an organization so as to facilitate systematic assessment of probable future opportunities and threats, reform/transformation, and ultimately responsiveness to the ever-changing social environment. Reframing is an introspective and integrative management framework based enhancement strategy to causally link organizational factors with performance - thus implementing strategic planning."
