Description

"Innovations in music since the turn of the century. The contributions of Debussy, Bartok, Stravinsky, Schoenberg, Webern, Varese, etc., are reviewed and discussed. The traditional musical landmarks of the past are studied in terms of recent aesthetic considerations. The structural foundations which served the seventeenth, eighteenth and nineteenth centuries are considered in terms of how contemporary composers have altered and reshaped them.
